Online Banking Security System
You spoke! We listened!
Beginning Saturday, May 31
The First State Bank's Online Banking will no longer be using the matrix
system for the second layer of security. Instead, we will be using an
additional, more popular and convenient layer of security.
Please see the following
detailed information:
The new security system features
the easy-to-use question and answer format. You will soon be asked to
choose several questions and answers. These questions and answers will
be determined by you and will allow you to choose information that should be
easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. (For example, you
may choose questions like "What was the name of your first pet?" or "What
was your maternal grandfather's first name?")
Once you have set these
questions and answers up, you will then be back to Online Banking as usual.
At times, you may be asked to answer these questions to verify your account
information. However, you should be able to access The First State
Bank's Online Banking with just your username and password.
Again, these changes will be
taking place over the next month and you will be instructed exactly how to
